1. Cleaning of water radiator
Water radiators need frequent maintenance to ensure heat exchange between coolant and air. Under normal circumstances, the diesel engine every 500h or so, the water radiator should be cleaned on the outside and inside. To clean up the scale and precipitated impurities inside the radiator, the water in the radiator can be drained first, and then the water with a certain pressure (such as tap water) can be passed into the radiator core until the outflow water is clean.
2. Maintenance of water radiator
If the water radiator leaks after a period of use, it can be repaired with solder. If some pipes are seriously damaged and cannot be repaired, the pipes are allowed to be blocked, but the number of pipes blocked should not be more than three, otherwise it may lead to the diesel engine outlet temperature exceeding the allowable range.
3. Daily notes
The pressure cap on the water radiator inlet can increase the pressure of the system to a certain range, which not only improves the boiling point of the coolant, but also improves the anti-cavitation ability of the diesel engine and the water pump. The pressure cover is provided with a steam valve and an air valve. When the positive or negative pressure in the water radiator exceeds the specified value, the valve located in the pressure cover will automatically open to achieve the purpose of steam discharge or air entry.
The pressure cap should be confined when the diesel generator is working so as not to interfere with the normal operation of the cooling system. It is necessary to check the coolant level in the water radiator frequently and timely supplement that the low level will affect the cooling effect of the system and aggravate the cavitation of the diesel engine. At this time, it is necessary to add coolant to the water radiator, but be careful to prevent steam injury.
[Note] : Do not open the pressure cap of the tank in the heavy load operation of the diesel engine. It is best to unscrew the pressure cap after stopping until the water temperature is lower than 70o.
Before the diesel engine starts, the filling of coolant to the empty cooling system should not be too fast. At this time, the water temperature gauge sensor at the outlet pipe end of the cylinder head should be loosened to exclude the air in the coolant flow path. After filling, stop for two minutes until the air in the system overflows and then fill again.
