What is the temperature rise of the generator? Temperature rise refers to the temperature difference between the generator and the environment, which is caused by the heat generated by the generator. Temperature rise means that the temperature of the components in the generator is higher than the environment. When the core of the generator is in the alternating magnetic field, the windings will have stray losses such as iron loss and copper loss after electrification, thus increasing the temperature of the generator.

On the other hand, the generator also dissipates heat. When heat and heat are equal, an equilibrium state is reached, and the temperature no longer rises, but stabilizes at a level. When the temperature increases and the heat dissipation decreases, it will cause the temperature to rise, expand the temperature difference, and then increase the heat dissipation. A new equilibrium is reached at another higher temperature. But the temperature difference is already bigger than before. Therefore, the temperature difference is an important point in the design and operation of the generator, which indicates the heat condition of the generator. If the temperature difference in the generator suddenly becomes large, the generator is faulty. Or the air duct is blocked or the load is too heavy.

Generator temperature refers to the actual heating temperature of each part of the generator, which has a great influence on the insulation material of the generator. If the temperature is too high, it will shorten the aging of insulation and even damage insulation materials. To prevent aging and damage to the insulation, the temperature limit is the allowable temperature of the generator.
