And radiator as an important part in diesel engine cooling system, it is very important for diesel generator, and its heat dissipation ability to a great extent, determines the working temperature of the cooling system, therefore, in order to ensure good heat dissipation effect, need to do the following two aspects, one is the generator room should have good ventilation effect; The second is to maintain the normal work of the radiator of the diesel generator set, which is particularly important to maintain the radiator of the diesel generator set. However, some users in the use of diesel generator sets, water cooled diesel engine often radiator overflow, what is the reason for this phenomenon? Here is to analyze the main reasons:
1. The thermostat fails.
The coolant of water – cooled diesel generator can be divided into large cycle and small cycle. When the temperature of coolant is lower than 90℃, the thermostat is closed. Once the temperature exceeds the set temperature, the thermostat turns on, allowing the waterway to pass through both circulating waterways at the same time. That is, the opening of the thermostat changes with temperature, so the flow of water through varies. When the two thermostats rust for a long time, the large circulation channel is completely open; Because the cross-sectional area of the small circulation waterway is small, the flow resistance is large, so that most of the water through the large circulation waterway (this phenomenon is more obvious after the sharp increase of the throttle), so that the water overflow from the radiator. This phenomenon is very rare in the domestic machine, and the domestic machine in the summer to prevent the machine temperature is too high, sometimes the thermostat will be removed artificially, at this time there will be no radiator overflow phenomenon.
2. The water seal sleeve of the injector is not strict or cracked.
There is a water jacket between the injector and the cylinder head. The waterproof casing is connected with the water channel and sealed with a rubber sealing ring. After long-term use, the connection between the cylinder head water jacket and the cylinder head will produce small cracks due to aging, or poor sealing due to rubber aging. The burned mixture seeps into the channel through tiny gaps, allowing water to escape from the radiator.
3. Cylinder pad aging damage.
The results show that when the cylinder pad is slightly damaged near the combustion chamber, the overflow is lighter and more obvious than that when the cylinder pad is damaged. At the same time, when the cylinder pad is damaged, not only the radiator will overflow, but also the engine oil will deteriorate due to water. It is better to judge both. When the cylinder pad is slightly damaged, a strong explosive force can be generated only when the cylinder is working, so that the high-pressure gas penetrates into the waterway. The negative pressure generated by the intake is not enough to draw the water in the waterway into the cylinder, so at this time, only the radiator spills oil, without obvious oil deterioration.
4. The cylinder head of the air pump has cracks.
If the cylinder head has dark damage or small cracks, compressed air will enter the channel from the crack, and then overflow from the radiator when the pump is working; This phenomenon is more obvious when forced acceleration, there is the illusion of radiator boiling.
5. There is too much dirt on the radiator.
The upper and lower water chambers of the radiator are connected by a plurality of water distribution pipes. If due to careless use, radiator scale more, the water distribution pipe is easy to block; When the engine is running at high speed, part of the water goes through the pump into the small circulation, and the other part goes into the radiator water supply chamber. However, water overflowed from the water supply chamber due to a clogged distribution pipe. Right NOW, WHEN TOUCHING THE upper part OF RADIATOR AND lower part respectively with it, CAN DISCOVER THERE IS apparent temperature difference. When disassembling, just remove the radiator and dredge the lower water distribution pipe can be; Or put vinegar in the radiator, let the engine run for five minutes, then change the water. After a few cycles, the radiator can basically be cleaned.
6. The oil cooler is faulty.
At the oil cooler, the oil pressure is higher than the water pressure. There are two possible conditions for oil cooler failure: 1. The radiator core has cracks or trachoma; 2. 2. The sealing rubber ring at the interface between the radiator core and the oil channel of the cylinder body is not tight. In this way, the oil will enter the water, and too much oil will escape from the radiator after entering the water (this is easier to tell, because the oil will escape from the radiator with the water, and the oil will only become less and not deteriorate).
