One, diesel generator set smoke pipe installation
1) In order to prevent condensate from flowing backwards into the unit, the horizontal exhaust pipe should be sloping and the low end should be far away from the engine; A drain outlet shall be provided on the muffler and any other part of the pipe where condensate water is dripping, such as the vertical turn of the smoke pipe.
2) When smoke pipes pass through flammable roofs, walls or separators, heat insulation sleeves and wall coverings shall be applied.
3) If conditions permit, most of the smoke pipes should be arranged outside the machine room as far as possible to reduce radiant heat; All indoor smoke pipes should be equipped with heat insulation jackets. If the installation conditions are limited, the muffler and the rest of the pipeline are placed indoors, the application of 50 mm thick high density insulation material and aluminum sheathed the whole pipeline wrapped heat insulation.
4) Thermal expansion should be allowed when the pipeline support is fixed;
5) The end of the smoke pipe should be able to avoid rain water dripping. The smoke pipe can be extended horizontally to repair materials or install rainproof caps at the outlet.
Two, diesel generator set smoke pipe installation matters needing attention:
1) The exhaust pipe of each diesel engine should be separately led out of the room, and should be laid on the air or in the trench. Smoke exhaust pipe and muffler should be separately supported, not directly supported in the diesel exhaust main pipe or fixed on other parts of the diesel engine. Flexible connection is adopted between the smoke exhaust lead pipe and the smoke exhaust main pipe. The bracket on the exhaust pipe must allow the pipe to expand or use a roller type bracket, while the short flexible pipe or expansion bellows shall be a long pipe between the two brackets and be combined as one.
2) The length of the smoke exhaust lead pipe and the matching requirements with the pipe diameter shall be determined according to the data provided by the manufacturer. When the exhaust pipe needs to pass through the wall, it should be equipped with a protective sleeve. The outlet end of the pipe should be covered with a rainproof cap or cut into a bevel Angle of 320~450. The wall thickness of all exhaust pipes shall not be less than 3mm.
3) The direction of the exhaust pipe should be fireproof, and the slope of 0.3% to 0.5% should be set for the outdoor part. Slope to outdoor, easy to exhaust lampblack condensate and condensed water outdoor. Install drain valve at low point when horizontal pipe is long.
4) When the smoke exhaust pipes in the equipment room are laid overhead, the heat insulation layer should be installed indoors, and the thickness of the heat insulation layer should not be less than 60 mm for the part less than 2 meters from the ground. Safety measures should also be considered when the smoke exhaust pipe is laid overhead under the fuel pipe or the trench is laid through the fuel pipe.
5) When the exhaust pipe is long, the natural compensation section should be used. If it is unconditional, the compensator should be installed.
6) Smoke exhaust pipe should not turn too much, turning degree should be greater than 900, generally should not turn more than three times, otherwise it will lead to poor smoke exhaust of the diesel engine, affecting the power output of the diesel engine set.
