The winding drying method of diesel generator set is described as follows:
1.Circulating hot air drying method: make a drying chamber with heat insulation material (such as firebrick masonry), with air outlet above, and air inlet on the side. The air inlet is connected with the heating chamber, and 220V electric furnace wire of about 3kW is set in the insulation ground of the heating chamber (the heating chamber can also be heated by other methods). The heating chamber can be made of iron sheet, and the hot air in the heating chamber is blown into the drying chamber by a hair dryer to dry the windings of ningbo generator. The temperature of hot air in the drying chamber is controlled at about 100℃.
2. Current dry method: using three-phase voltage regulator to about 7% ~ 15% of rated voltage for a motor of the voltage on the stator winding, or single-phase voltage regulator with welding machine, 20% ~ 40% voltage of the generator voltage rating in the together each other on the three-phase stator winding of current control about 60% of the rated current of the generator, make winding heat to dry. When drying, pay close attention to winding temperature and adjust voltage and current in time.
3. Bulb drying method: put one or several high-power solar lamps (such as: 1KW) on the generator side with an electric fan to blow the hot air into ningbo generator for drying. The author often used in lamp gun drying method, because this method is relatively simple to operate.
4. Infrared bulb drying method: use a wooden box or iron leather box, open above the air vent and insert a thermometer jack. Infrared lamp is installed in the box, the power of infrared lamp is configured according to the volume of the box of 4 ~ 5kW/m3, so that the winding irradiated by the infrared lamp can be dried, and the number of bulbs or the power of the bulb can change the temperature in the box.
When drying, no matter what method is used, it is necessary to monitor the temperature and insulation resistance at all times and make good records. The entire thermometer should be placed at several points between the windings and the core of the diesel generator set and protected for good contact.
