Precautions for installation of diesel generator set smoke exhaust:
1. Try to be as short as possible and turn less.
2. The thermal expansion degree of the general pipe is 1.33mm/m/C, so when the temperature rises from 35℃ to 500℃, a 10m long pipe will extend about 50mm, so the expansion joint or roller type exhaust support system should be considered in the installation.
3. When installing straight pipes, tilt down slightly.
4. Wrap the exhaust pipe and muffler with insulation material to avoid temperature rise in the generator room.
5. Do not let the weight of the exhaust pipe on the engine.
● Reduce excessive vibration fatigue stress of exhaust parts.
● Allow the exhaust parts to move relative to each other. For example: thermal expansion and cold contraction caused by temperature changes, plastic deformation of any structural parts or the back torque generated by the generator assembly on the spring type shock absorber.
6. If the exhaust hose needs heat insulation, it must be ensured that the heat insulation material cannot prevent the expansion and contraction of the exhaust hose.
7. If the exhaust pipe is too long, a limiting device must be used so that it can only extend to the free end
8. After welding all exhaust pipes, the welding slag inside the pipe must be cleaned before being put back for installation and use.
