Today I will share with you how to correctly change the engine oil and oil filter, as follows.
First turn off the engine, and ensure that the oil temperature is reduced to at least 60℃;
a. Open the oil filling port cover, unscrew the oil drain plug according to the following figure, open the white oil drain valve under the oil filter, and operate the manual oil pump to discharge the oil in the oil pan; After the oil is completely pumped out, close the white drain valve, clean the oil drain plug thread and sealing surface, install and tighten the wire plug (torque 45 n/m); Unscrew the oil refueling cover, add new oil, check the oil level through the oil level ruler, oil level rises more than “L” but lower than “H”, stop refueling, cover the refueling cover;
b. Replace the oil filter:
Use the oil filter wrench to remove the full-flow bypass oil filter. If the filter failure analysis is not required, the replaced oil filter can be treated according to the relevant local regulations.
Clean the sealing surface of the oil filter head with a lint free cloth;
c. Replace the oil filter:
Lubricate the rubber seal of the filter with oil, then replenish the oil filter with clean oil
Install oil filter according to manufacturer’s requirements;
d. Replace the fuel filter:
Remove the fuel filter with the filter wrench;
Remove the threaded joint seal ring and wipe the surface with a clean lint-free cloth to remove any debris or dirt;
To install a new threaded joint seal ring on the new fuel filter, a fuel-water separator or fuel filter and water separator must be installed in combination, filling the filter with clean fuel;
Install the filter. After the gasket contacts the surface of the filter head, tighten it again 1/2 to 3/4 turns, open the fuel cut-off valve, and check for leaks;
e. Replace the water filter by referring to the above replacement methods of oil filter and fuel filter;
f. Check the generator air filter and clean or replace it according to the site conditions;
Generator air filter should be checked frequently to be sure. Appropriate maintenance intervals;
