Before starting cummins generator set, check the following items and start again:
1) Check whether all parts of Chongqing Cummins generator set are normal, whether the attachment connection is reliable, and eliminate abnormal phenomena.
2) Check whether the circuit wiring of the electric starting system is correct. Whether the battery is sufficient.
3) Fill oil into the oil pan to the specified oil level.
4) Add coolant to the cooling system of Chongqing Cummins generator, and the water source should be connected to the open circulation cooling system.
5) Add oil to the fuel injection pump and governor of the generator set to the specified oil level.
6) Grease should be injected into the grease nozzle.
7) Use the hand pump on the fuel oil pump to inject fuel into the fuel system. And loosen the vent screw on the fuel injection pump; Or loosen the vent plug on the fuel filter, remove the air in the fuel system, until the vent continuously flowing out of the fuel without bubbles, the vent screw or vent screw tighten. Then continue to pump oil, until the return pipe oil return, the hand pump tighten.
8) Loosen the high-pressure tubing joint nut on each cylinder injector in turn, place the speed regulating handle in the running position of the diesel engine, turn the diesel engine, and discharge the air in the high-pressure tubing.
9) For diesel generator set equipped with pre-supplied lubricating oil pump. The pre-supply oil pump should be started first, and each operation should not exceed 30S. If the operation fails to meet the requirements, it should be stopped for 30S and repeated again until the oil pressure gauge reaches 196.2~294.3Pa (2~3kgf/cm²).
10) For new machines or unused Cummins generators that have been parked for more than 5 days, the generator should be turned to take 3~5 turns before starting.
11) For usually parked as emergency use of Chongqing generator set, in order to facilitate the emergency is able to quickly start operation, in the parking period, every 3-5 days should start trial operation to water, oil temperature reaches more than 60℃.
