1. impurities mixed with lubricating oil

After the impurity intrudes into the lubricating oil, it will infiltrate into the matching surface of the moving parts like abrasive, which will greatly shorten the service life of the parts. Therefore, when filling lubricating oil, we must ensure that clean, prevent dust, sand, dust invasion. In addition, the air and diesel Frayer filters should be maintained on time to prevent impurities from entering the oil pan from the cylinder.

2. new and old oil mix with each other

When the old lubricating oil is still in use, new lubricating oil with different components and characteristics is added to make the new and old lubricating oil react chemically due to different characteristics, resulting in black color of lubricating oil.

3. Artificial lubricating oil and mineral lubricating oil are mixed with each other

Lubricating oil can be divided into artificial lubricating oil and mineral lubricating oil two categories. Artificial lubricating oil contains a certain amount of colloidal graphite, if mixed with mineral lubricating oil, there will be a chemical reaction, so that the decomposition of colloidal graphite, not only make the color of the lubricating oil black, but also destroy the lubrication performance of the lubricating oil.

4. the cylinder liner piston is not sealed

When the liner wears too much, the liner and piston will not seal, resulting in severe air leaks or exhaust gas entering the crankcase and prematurely blackening the oil.

5. The oil fryer filter is too dirty

The metal chips, dust and combustion impurities worn down during the operation of the diesel generator are mixed with the lubricating oil, which is filtered by the oil Fryga filter and then enters the next cycle. If the Fricka filter is too dirty and blocked, the unfiltered lubricating oil will enter the main oil channel directly from the bypass valve, which will greatly aggravate the wear of parts, so it is necessary to maintain the oil Fricka filter on time. Some imported diesel generators use disposable oil fryer filter, that is, the expiration must be replaced, not allowed to clean the reuse.

6. crankcase ventilation is not smooth

In the process of rapid combustion of diesel generators, there are always some high-pressure exhaust gas from the combustion chamber into the crankcase. If the ventilation pipe is blocked, the exhaust gas can not be discharged, so that it will react with the lubricating oil in the oil pan, accelerate the oxidation and deterioration of lubricating oil, and form gum, carbon, water or acid harmful substances. Exhaust gas corrodes the parts of the diesel generator and reduces the lubrication effect of the lubricating oil. Therefore, it is important to keep the crankcase ventilation pipe unblocked. In addition, when the gap between piston and cylinder liner, valve and valve guide is too large, high temperature and high pressure exhaust gas will also enter the crankcase in large quantities, accelerating the oxidation and deterioration of lubricating oil, therefore, it is necessary to replace the worn piston, cylinder liner or valve guide assembly in time.

7. diesel generator working temperature is too high or too low

The normal operating temperature of water-cooled diesel generator should be kept at 80 ~ 95℃, too high temperature will make the oil thin, accelerate the oxidation of lubricating oil, reduce the role of lubricating oil. If the temperature is too low, the diesel fuel injected into the combustion chamber will not be fully burned, and part of the oil and gas will condense into liquid and flow into the oil pan along the cylinder liner to dilute the oil. Diesel generators working in cold areas should run rapidly for several minutes after starting, and then load up after the body temperature rises.

8. fuel oil mixed with lubricating oil

If the high pressure oil supply pressure of the diesel generator oil pump is low, too much oil supply, or the injector atomization is bad, the diesel fuel injected into the cylinder can not be fully burned. The unburned fuel will flow into the oil pan along the cylinder wall to dilute the lubricating oil, reduce the viscosity, and lose lubrication prematurely. Therefore, the injector should be adjusted in time to replace the wear and failure of the plunger, nozzle and other parts.

9. Mix the coolant with lubricating oil

After the lubricating oil water becomes milky white, and rapidly deteriorate, lose lubrication. Therefore, when refueling to prevent water mixed with lubricating oil. If it is found that the oil level of the lubricating oil rises quickly, the cause should be found out immediately and the fault should be eliminated, so as not to mix the coolant in the lubricating oil.

10. the oil brand is wrong or fake oil

The quality of fake oil is certainly not up to the requirements, in addition, the general turbocharged and calibrated speed of diesel generators greater than 1500r/min should choose CF grade and above oil, the use of 15W-40 brand in summer, the use of 5W-30 oil in winter.

11. Pour in the oxidized oil

Due to the wrong way of storage, poor sealing lead to oil oxidation, of course, storage time is too long may also appear oxidation phenomenon. In addition to the appearance of these oils, there are also differences in the smell: new oil and well-sealed oil, we can smell a light aroma, the aroma is a bit like coconut; And the oxidized oil, there is no smell, there is a stale smell of old oil. Therefore, all the oil that stimulates the sense of smell and has peculiar smell is metamorphic or inferior oil. It’s also an easy way to tell if oil has gone bad.
