Today, I will share with you the daily maintenance and maintenance of diesel generator set, which is as follows:
(1) Keep the outer surface of the motor and the surrounding environment clean, in the motor housing or inside are not allowed to put any object, to wipe the sand, oil and dust, so as not to hinder heat dissipation, make the motor overheating.
（2）Prevent all kinds of oil, water and other liquids from dripping or splashing into the motor, but can not make metal objects (such as nails, screwdrivers and coins, etc.) or metal debris into the motor, if found must try to remove, otherwise can not start.
(3) When starting each shift, during the idle preheating period of the engine, the running sound of the motor rotor should be monitored, and no abnormal noise should be allowed, otherwise it should be stopped for inspection. Monitoring method: Put one end of the knife edge of the screwdriver on the shell near the bearing and other important moving parts of the motor, and attach the ear to the insulated handle of the screwdriver to judge by running experience. Under normal circumstances, the sound of the motor is stable, uniform and slight wind. If there is a sound such as beating or rubbing, it indicates that the motor has a fault and should be shut down for careful analysis and inspection.
(4) Before starting the unit, we should check the fastening of the foot screws. When the speed reaches the rated value, if the unit vibrates violently, we should stop the machine to find out the cause and eliminate it.
（5）The motor in normal operation should pay close attention to the indication of ammeter, voltmeter, frequency meter, power factor meter and power meter on the control screen, so as to understand whether the motor is working normally. If it is found that the instrument indication is not in the normal range, it should be adjusted in time. If necessary, it should stop the machine for inspection and troubleshooting.
（6） Pay attention to check the circuit connection of the motor to ensure that it is correct and reliable. Often touch the motor shell and bearing cover with your hand to understand the temperature change of each part of the motor. Normally, it should not be hot (generally not more than 65℃).
（7） Check whether the grounding of the generator is reliable.
（8）View the operation of the collector ring and other conductive contact parts, the normal should have no spark or a small amount of very dark spark, brush should have no obvious beating and can not be broken phenomenon.
（9）Observe the end of the winding to see if there is any flash, spark, burnt odor or smoke during operation. If so, it indicates that there is insulation damage or breakdown fault, and the winding should be shut down for inspection.
（10） Generally do not allow the sudden increase or decrease of large loads, and strictly prohibit long-term overload or three-phase load serious asymmetric operation.
