Key start: First turn the key clockwise, release the key after the machine starts normally, then press the “menu” button of the module to enter the module setting, enter the password “0318” as prompted, press the “up” and “down” keys to confirm, check whether the oil pressure and water temperature indicators are normal, after confirming the normal, turn the “up” speed switch to the full speed direction, when the frequency increases to 51. When it is between 5-52HZ, it indicates that it has reached the highest speed. At this time, all indicators are normal, indicating that the machine runs well and the performance debugging is successful. Run for a period of time to determine no fault need to stop, first by the unit operator will “speed up” knob slowly to idle direction, the unit slowly slow down, until the value is restored to the factory before the position set, can press the “emergency stop” button to stop.
Preheating: For units equipped with preheaters, the personnel can decide whether to preheat the units according to the ambient temperature before starting, and the control screen with preheating button can control the engine to start heating for the purpose of preheating.
Power ON. Turn the key switch of the control panel from OFF to ON. The instrument background light on the panel indicates that the control panel is powered on, the fuel of the unit is on, and the controller of the unit with electronic speed control controller or electric injection unit is also in working state. Start: Some unit control screens have idle/full speed switch. Users can choose whether to start at idle speed or at full speed at one time according to actual needs. Generally, the idle running time should not exceed 5 minutes. The unit should not run at idle speed for a long time. Press the start button, the duration is not more than 30 seconds, the engine starts under the drive of the start motor, once the start is successful, you can release the start button, the unit into the running state.
However, in order to prolong the service life of the starting battery and the starting motor, it is appropriate to control the time of starting the unit in 5-10 seconds. If the first startup is not successful, you can stop the corresponding time to start the program for a second time.
Ii. Reasons why Cummins diesel generator set can’t stop automatically
First of all, you can use a multimeter to measure the working voltage of the shutdown relay of Cummins diesel generator set and compare it with the normal voltage. If the relay still does not operate, it needs to be replaced. Then no-load test, the unit runs normally; In addition, you can also use a multimeter to measure the working voltage of the diesel engine stop solenoid valve, compared with the normal voltage and resistance, so that the solenoid valve is too dirty, resulting in the automatic shutdown of the diesel engine, the solenoid valve can not turn off the fuel in time, some fuel into the injector to idle Cummins diesel generator set.
