(1) no water start or sudden boiling water start
If there is no cooling water after the diesel generator starts, the temperature of the cylinder components, the cylinder head and the body will rise sharply. At this time, the injection of cooling water will make the hot cylinder liner, the cylinder head and other important parts caused by sudden cold burst or deformation.
However, if the cold body before the start of the sudden add about 100℃ boiling water, will also crack the cylinder head, body and cylinder sleeve and other parts, should wait for the water temperature to drop to 60-70℃ and then add.
(2) Step on the accelerator and start
Do not fill the door when the generator is started. Generally put the throttle to idle position can be. But many people pump the diesel generator door before or during startup to make it start faster. The disadvantages of this approach are:
Waste of fuel. Excess diesel will wash the cylinder wall, so that the piston, piston ring and cylinder liner lubrication deterioration and aggravate wear; Residual oil flowing into the oil pan will dilute the oil and reduce the lubrication effect; Too much diesel in the cylinder burns incompletely and carbon accumulates.
(2) after the diesel engine throttle start, the speed may rise quickly, which will cause great damage to the moving parts (aggravate wear or cause cylinder failure).
(3) Strong cold trailer start. When the diesel generator is forced to start with trailer when the engine is cold and the oil viscosity is high, the wear between the moving parts of the diesel engine will be aggravated and the service life of the diesel engine will be reduced.
(4) Do not change oil and fuel oil according to the season
In cold weather, if the oil and oil with low viscosity are not changed in time, the generator will be difficult to start or not start at all. Even a successful forcible start could cause incalculable damage to the diesel generator.
(5) Open fire baking oil pan
Strong fire spray oil pan, easy to cause local deformation of oil pan or oil deterioration in the oil pan. Therefore, heating the oil in the oil pan should use a special heater (or steam) heating, at the same time slowly turn the oil shaft, so that the oil evenly heated, so that all parts are lubricated.
(6) Start with ignition at the inlet pipe
If ignition is started at the intake pipe of the diesel generator, ash and hard debris generated by material combustion will be sucked into the cylinder, which is easy to cause loose closing of the inlet and exhaust doors and strain the cylinder.
(7) Use electric plug or flame preheater for a long time
The heating body of electric heating plug or flame preheater is electric heating wire, its power consumption and heat are very big, use for a long time can damage battery because of rapid discharge, also can burn out electric heating wire at the same time.
Therefore, the continuous use of the electric plug each time should not exceed 1min, and the continuous use of the flame preheater each time should be controlled within 30s.
(8) Directly add the oil to the cylinder
The oil added to the cylinder, although it can play the role of sealing, pressurizing and heating, and facilitate the starting of the generator cooler, the oil can not be completely burned, easy to produce carbon, so that the elasticity of the piston ring is weakened, and the sealing performance of the cylinder is decreased.
In addition, it will accelerate the wear of the cylinder liner, resulting in a reduction in the power of the generator, making it more difficult to start, so the oil can not be directly added to the cylinder.
(9) Directly pour gasoline into the intake pipe
Gasoline has a lower flash point than diesel and burns before diesel. Therefore, directly pouring gasoline into the intake pipe will make the diesel generator work rough and produce strong cylinder knocking phenomenon, and the diesel engine reversal can occur in serious cases.
(10) Avoid long continuous starting
The starter motor on the diesel engine works under low voltage and high current. The continuous working time shall not exceed 10s; If not starting at one time, start again at intervals of 15s.
(11) excessive use of ether
Diethyl ether can effectively improve the start-up performance of diesel engines. However, excessive use of ether will cause abnormal damage to diesel engine cylinder assembly and cylinder head. At the same time, it will greatly shorten the service life of diesel generators.
